Moms deserve more than a 6-week check-up when it comes to recovery after pregnancy and childbirth. Our chiropractor, Dr. Gillian Altheim, is certified in postpartum exercise rehabilitation through GrowCo.

GrowCo experts fill the gap by providing a comprehensive postpartum checkup and progressive healing. This is done through group based rehab programs which use exercises targeting the full body with a special focus on core and pelvic floor.

Postpartum Rehab Classes

Dr Gillian’s Postpartum Rehab classes will help you get back to feeling more like yourself. Each program includes a one-on-one movement screen with Dr. Gill to evaluate where you currently are.

Following your assessment, we begin 8 one-hour exercise sessions over the next four weeks. Over the four weeks, you will work within the 4 pillars of Postpartum Rehab:

  • Breathwork
  • Postural Protocol
  • Core & Pelvic Floor Function & Strength
  • Glute Strengthening

Modifications will be given during class for those who have had a c-section.

What to Expect

Our methodology is aimed at preventing, reducing, and/or resolving symptoms women often deal with due to pregnancy and childbirth.

Issues like:

  • Separated or week abdominals
  • Urinary and fecal incontinence
  • Chronic low back/pelvic pain
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction
