As an avid soccer player, Marissa has a special interest in how physical therapy contributes to athletes’ rehabilitation process.

Jenny Brown

Registered Dietitian, Founder Of Foodmed Inc.

Jenny’s approach to nutrition is based on each individual’s personal goals and lifestyle. She looks at the big picture, helping promote a positive relationship with food and healthy behaviors for life. Once she solidified her calling to be a dietitian, Jenny earned her degree at the University of Alberta to become registered with the College of Dietitians of Alberta. Her desire to guide others in nutrition for everyday life inspired her business to serve clients in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Seth played football at the varsity level for the University of Alberta, where he was exposed to the benefits that high-level training had on his performance and overall health. During school, he completed his practicum at Optimize Physiotherapy as an exercise specialist, which transitioned into becoming the Director of Strength and Performance. Seth’s personal philosophy revolves around being intentional with every movement, and finding the unique exercise process that works for each individual to overcome injury.

Meaghan Jenner

Clinic Assistant

Meaghan loves helping people and values getting to know each client. In fact, she is Optimize’s open book! Approachable and actionable, Meaghan is always the one willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. That probably also explains her love for dogs. She has two of her own and when she isn’t busy tending to them or working, you’ll find her camping, playing ringette or getting crafty. 

Peyton Walker

Kinesiologist

Peyton graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2020. Previously, she grew up as a competitive dancer and went on to become a certified dance instructor with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association. Peyton believes that through movement and a positive and inclusive environment, everyone can reach their full potential. She strives to help people achieve their goals in an enjoyable way and promote activity for life. Currently, Peyton hopes to pursue a career in rehabilitation medicine while continuing to work with the amazing Optimize team. 

Landon Vollman

Kinesiologist

Landon is a kinesiologist here at Optimize and graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He is an outgoing and passionate person that works under three principles: Educate, Rehabilitate, and Work. Through education about the complexity of the human body and hard work, he is ready to help all people reach their biggest goals. Landon is full steam ahead towards a career in physiotherapy, while simultaneously pursuing another passion of his as a strength and conditioning coach. He is also a sports junkie, so if you see him around and want to strike up a conversation, just mention the Toronto Maple Leafs. Landon is looking forward to meeting and working with each and every person that wants to be optimized.

She chose Manual Osteopathy as a career because of its holistic physiology, taking a whole-body approach on treating pain for long-term relief by targeting the root cause. Meet Clinic Manager at Optimize since day one! Since Ashley enjoys working in an atmosphere with a close group of like-minded people it’s been a seamless journey. Prior to her physiotherapy experience, Ashley worked as an Interior Design Technologist designing kitchens. Currently she is working towards getting her Elementary Education Degree, and plans to contribute to the growth and development of Optimize as she finishes her degree.

Her passion for photography and content creation is must-have in helping the Optimize team connect with clients when they’re not in the clinic. Ashley’s background is in kinesiology, health, and wellness, as she’s worked in a clinic setting for nearly a decade.

Emma is one of our kinesiologists. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2020 and is currently pursuing a degree in Secondary Education. Emma loves being active and hopes to inspire others to move their bodies as well. You can catch her teaching fitness classes such as rowing and HIIT at Hive Fit Co or on the treadmills at Runaway Workout Club. Kate Manning

Kate is currently working towards her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Alberta. While in school, she has had the opportunity to play on the varsity rugby team. Training at a high level of sport has given her great appreciation for the role physical activity and health play in maintaining a functioning body and she hope’s to be able to share her knowledge with others.
